Passage

Su Maner is known as the most beautiful girl in the capital, but also the silliest. She trips over her own feet, drops her tea cups, and forgets people’s names. Nobles laugh at her behind her back. But an old prophet once said, “This girl is born under the phoenix star. She will marry the most powerful man in the kingdom.” Everyone laughed. One day, the prince visited the capital. He saw Su Maner fall into a fountain while chasing a butterfly. Instead of laughing, he helped her up and said, “You are the most interesting person I have ever met.” Su Maner blushed and couldn’t say a word. Three months later, the prince asked for her hand in marriage. The whole capital was shocked. Su Maner smiled and said, “See? Being a fool is not so bad after all.”
