Spring Tools 4.6.1 是 Spring Tools Suite（STS）的继任者——Spring Tools for Eclipse（基于 Eclipse IDE）的一个维护版本，于2020年5月左右发布。该版本主要包含以下更新与改进：
- 升级至 Eclipse 2020-03（4.15）平台，支持 Java 14；
- 改进对 Spring Boot 2.3.x 的支持（包括新引入的
spring-boot-starter-validation自动配置识别、新的 Actuator 端点等）； - 修复多个与 Spring Boot Dashboard、Live Bean Graph、YAML 编辑器相关的 Bug；
- 增强对 Spring Cloud Config、Spring Cloud Stream 的元数据支持；
- 提升启动性能与内存使用效率；
- 修复部分 macOS 和高 DPI 显示下的 UI 渲染问题。
注意：Spring Tools 4（即 STS4）已不再以独立安装包为主推形式，而是推荐通过 Eclipse Marketplace 安装插件（适用于 Eclipse IDE 2019-12 及更高版本），或使用官方提供的预配置 Eclipse 发行版（如 Spring Tool Suite 4 for Eclipse）。
