What will public transportation systems look like in 2045? Some experts have thought about this. Here are three of the possibilities they have pictured.

Shared shuttles

Minibuses, Uber-style taxis and electric bikes or hoverboards may be shared by all. You can simply book them and pay for them online. At the same time, new environmental rules will mean that having a car might be more expensive than it used to be. Cars might only be used in city suburbs.
